Facts on the Budget/Government Spending

The government plans on spending more money than it receives this year, a total of 244 billion dollars. This is a planned loss.


The government has had a deficit since 2002. It has also has a deficit between 1970 and 1977,1961-1968, 1958-1959, 19 52-1955, 1950, 1931-1946.

Federal spending rose by 47% percent between 1929 and 1932, as the Hoover Administration attempted to spend their way out of the Depression.
