1) He’s a socialist.
Take his tax plan, for example. Obama wants to tax the rich more and the poor less. What would he do with the extra 600 billion he plans to extract from the people who support America? Why, give it to the poor, of course.
“Right now, the Social Security payroll tax is capped. That means most middle-class families pay this tax on every dime they make, while millionaires and billionaires are only paying it on a very small percentage of their income. That’s why I think the best way forward is to adjust the cap on the payroll tax so that people like me pay a little bit more and people in need are protected. That way we can extend the promise of Social Security without shifting the burden onto seniors. And we should exempt anyone making under $250,000 from this increase so that the change doesn’t burden middle-class Americans. This means that 97 percent of Americans will see absolutely no change in their taxes under my plan—97 percent.”–Obama, on June 13th.
Under the current tax system, everyone pays social security taxes on up to the first 102,000 dollars of their income. So yes, people with more money pay it on a smaller percentage of their income, but they are still handing the government more money.
Whether or not 97% of Americans will see no change in their taxes (doubtful as, he plans to repeal the Bush tax cuts, which will mean that if you’re making between 30 and 60 thousand dollars a year, you will be getting taxed more than double what you’re currently getting taxed), 3% of Americans will see a change, and these 3% are the ones most important to the American economy. When you add up the all the taxes that Obama plans to add to the “rich”, the “rich” that own “rich” corporations will be paying over 50% of their income to the government. 50%!!!!
Socialism: The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved. (American Heritage)
Obama plans to collect over half of the wealth of the defenseless population (those who don’t have enough votes to stop him) and give it to the rest of the population, who are slowly realizing that they can vote themselves rich. By greatly redistributing the wealth of our country, and by thereby stomping on the incentives that are the backbone of capitalism, Obama shows his socialist colors. If that’s not enough, his speeches are brimming with socialist propaganda.
Says Obama…” [A] right to live must also include the right to live comfortably…This vision of America would require change … It would require a renewed trust in the market and a renewed spirit of obligation and cooperation between business and workers…we are all in this together…Instead of thinking about what’s good for America or what’s good for business, a mentality has crept into certain corners of Washington and the business world that says, “what’s good for me is good enough”…Just because it makes money doesn’t mean it’s good for business…And so for those institutions that are holding these mortgages, I ask them to show some flexibility to folks trying to sell or refinance their houses…there is no dividing line between Main Street and Wall Street…We all have a stake in each other’s success…we rise or fall as one people…My plan will give a break to middle-class Americans, seniors, and the homeowners…it means finally making a college education affordable and available to every American…Like all of you, I believe in free trade. But we have to acknowledge that for millions of Americans, its burdens outweigh its benefits…I know some may say it’s anathema to come to Wall Street and call for shared sacrifice so that all Americans can benefit from this new economy of ours…” (Spetember 17, 2007)
Oh, and while I’m at it, did I mention assorted Mexicans were chanting “Si se puede,” the famous socialist call of “yes you can” at these words?
“I…believe that every American has the right to affordable health care.” Obama uses this quote from his speech in Iowa City on his own website. He prudly boasts his socialism. My question, since when did every American have a right to affordable anything? More importantly, when did every American have a right to something that they couldn’t afford? I’ll post my full analysis of Obama’s health-care plan in another post.
If that’s not enough to convince you, you’re consciously ignoring Obama’s Socialist intentions, becuase you too want a piece of the rich guys wages, and are happy to hide your true intentions under the call for change.
