Greg, your an idiot.
The prices SHOULD go down. The basic product that the people in denver are buying has not changed. The resource has not become more rare for our state, so this is no reason to increase the price. The quality of the product has not increased, so this can not justify the raise in rates. Since these are the only two reasons why the government should raise the price and they are absent, there is no reason the rates should have been raised. Instead, the citizens of Colorado should have been rewarded with a smaller bill for using less. Why the hell should the price stay the same when the costomer decides to use less?

So you're saying that it doesn't matter that they raised the rates, because people are using less water and their overall bills shouldn't change? Somehow I don't think the average person is using 13% less water...

From the respect perspective I agree completely but there is another side to this issue. First you are using a-lot of terms with very general definitions. there are many situations where it is okay to use a word that doesn't exactly mean what it is intended to say. should we stop saying liberal and conservative to refer to political ideologies of republicans and democrats? The second issue is that there is really no benefit to more elaborate lies. It just means that more tax money would go into propaganda. Why not just keep spending down and encourage politicians to lie blatantly?

It is true that there are people who will have larger bills as a result of this hike but there will also be those who see an overall decrease in the amount they spend on water. Unless there was a shortage of water and Denver water was going to run out and be faced with angry customers they really shouldn't have ran the campaign. I do however agree with the content of the campaign. It was simply a strange source for this encouragement. All in all the result is good. Less water has been used and average water bills haven't changed very much.

It's sad isn't it? Obama knows he duped America. He knows there are many in this country that are ignorant. It's easy to lie when you know people will believe it. Good post. You have a lot of talent.

Well, like I said, people have been "trying to change it from within" for two decades now. Hasn't worked, it's only gotten worse.

The Constitution has been torn and tossed. There isn't enough left to resuscitate it. We have to hit "reboot" instead.

But keep doing what you're doing. You'll keep getting what everyone else has got: screwed.

Of course I am brand new to the system! I'm 17! That doesn't mean that I can't recognize that it has problems, and at the same time realize that it is easier to change the system from within than from without.
